Membership in Rotaract Club Semanggi

Membership is open to Men and Women of all nationalities. Current number of members - 26 Cost of membership per year - none. Membership entitles a person to participate in social activities and assist in projects in the greater Jakarta community. Most activities are held in English.

About Rotaract Club Semanggi

Rotaract Club Semanggi is a junior club of Rotary Club Jakarta, established in 1986. Our basic platform is same as Rotary Club which is social service to the community. We believe in service above self. Our club motto is to Build Rotaract through the Spirit of Rotaract. Our members are mostly young professional between the ages of 18-30 with various backgrounds from student to professionals.

Our activities are mostly in social services such as book donations, helping flood victims, donation for elementary students, fund-raising project such as organizing a charity music concert, and much more.

Regular monthly meetings are held every Tuesday, from 19.30 to 21.00 at the Shangri-La Hotel, 3rd Floor, Jogjakarta Room (or look at the sign board for the location of the Rotary Club Jakarta meeting). Our meeting starts after our Rotary Club Jakarta meeting.

Membership in Rotaract offers expats the opportunity to meet with people from different backgrounds and to contribute in a positive way to society.

Rotary Club International

Service organization for professionals who are interested in fellowship, networking and supporting community projects. 

Rotary six areas of focus are:

  • Promoting peace
  • Fighting Disease
  • Providing Clean Water
  • Saving Mothers and Children
  • Supporting Education
  • Growing Local Economies

Rotary Clubs in Indonesia can be found in most main cities and are arranged into two districts; District 3410 covering western Indonesia http://rotaryd3410.org/ and District 3420 covering eastern Indonesia http://rotaryd3420.org/There are 19 Rotary Clubs in the Greater Jakarta metropolitan area.
