Membership in Roving Insight

Membership is open to men and women of various nationalities. Current membership : 1020 members. Cost of membership per year: Rp 600.000 per annum. Most activities are held in English.

Membership entitles a person to:

  • Attend sponsored monthly gatherings with food and beer from 7pm to 9.30pm
  • Discount outlets within Indonesia
  • Monthly Lucky draw prizes
  • Platform for contacts for business purposes, social and cultural exchanges
  • Copy of the yearly printed directory

About Roving Insight

The Roving Insight Executive & Diplomatic Club is a non-profit organization with a wide base of Indonesians, expatriates and diplomats networking with one another in our monthly gatherings, which are sponsored by restaurants and cafes. The members are from various enterprises, government institutions, officials, educationists, the diplomatic corps as well as local and expatriate professional. By joining Roving Insight, you can network with a wide multinational base for friendship, various cultural inter-actions, business, and social contacts.

Activities include monthly gatherings, luck draws, trips to various restaurants, outbound events, sports days, wine tasting as well as a platform for business and cultural exchanges.

Monthly gatherings are held at different five-star hotels and restaurants that sponsor the event to promote their business. Complimentary food and Heineken beer is available from 7pm to 9.30pm. After that it's a cash bar. There are no additional cost for the month gatherings (above the membership cost). Dates are tentative. Members must bring along their membership card and guests must have an invitation.

The monthly gatherings are often covered by the Jakarta Post, Indopost, Private Magazine and other journals.

Our organization provides these services to newcomers to the club:

  • Help newcomers feel at home
  • Help with information about contacts and services in Indonesia
  • Help expatriates who need assistance
  • Provide a base for Indonesia and expatriates to have a business network.
  • Volunteer help to embassies in time of evacuation
  • Build stronger friendships between Indonesians and Expatriates.
  • Help promote local businesses to members
