DIE BRÜCKE wurde 1979 als eine gemeinnützige Organisation deutschsprachiger Frauen in Indonesien gegründet und als Yayasan eingetragen.

Ein wichtiges Anliegen war damals und ist es auch heute, eine Plattform für Mitglieder zu schaffen - um Kontakte zu knüpfen, aktiv in Gruppen mitzuarbeiten, die gemeinsame Sprache anzuwenden und das persönliche Wissen über Indonesien zu erweitern. Dies geschieht hauptsächlich durch monatliche Treffen, wöchentlichen Aktivitäten in kleinen Gruppen, sowie der Herausgabe eines monatlichen Magazins für Mitglieder. Zusätzlich werden auch verschiedene Veranstaltungen, wie z. B. ein Christkindl-Markt, Charity-Ball oder Muttertags-Bunch organisiert.

Des weiteren unterstützt DIE BRÜCKE notleidende Indonesier, hauptsächlich Kinder und Frauen. Mit Spendengeldern, den Erträgen aus unseren Arbeitsgruppen und unseren Veranstaltungen und viel persönlichem Einsatz fördern wir Hilfseinrichtungen, die von Indonesiern gegründet und geleitet werden.

Es existieren die folgenden Arbeitsgruppen: Sozialkomitee, Neuankömmlingsbetreuung, Garage Sale, Kreativkreis, Programmgestaltung, Public Relations und Redaktion.

Es sind Frauen und Männer jeglicher Nationalität bei uns herzlich willkommen, ein Großteil der Veranstaltungen wird allerdings in deutscher Sprache abgehalten und Deutschkenntnisse sind von Vorteil.

About “Die BRÜCKE”

Yayasan Jembatan – Die BRÜCKE was founded in 1979 as a public benefit organization of German speaking women and was registered as a Yayasan.

It was as important then as it is today to create a platform for members where they can make new contacts, work actively in groups, use the common language and increase one’s knowledge of Indonesia. This happens mainly through monthly meetings, weekly activities in small groups as well as the monthly magazine published for members and those seeking information. Also there are diverse events such as “Christkindl-Markt”, Charity balls or Mothers Day Brunches.

Die BRÜCKE also supports Indonesians in need, mainly children and women. With monetary donations from sponsors, our work groups, events, and much personal effort we help maintain and support facilities founded and operated by Indonesians.

Our work groups include the following: Social Welfare, Newcomer Support, Garage Sale, Handicrafts, Program Planning, Public Relations, and Publications.

Women and men of every nationality are very welcome; most events, however, are conducted in German and speaking the language is an advantage.
