The Australian & New Zealand Association is a non-profit organisation committed to welcoming and assisting expatriates living in Indonesia. ANZA welcomes women and men of all nationalities and currently has members from all over the world.

As goodwill ambassadors for Australia and New Zealand, ANZA members show compassion toward those in need. Through its wide-ranging Social Welfare programme, ANZA Members contribute practical assistance to disadvantaged Indonesians.

ANZA was established in Jakarta over 30 years ago as a means for Australians and New Zealanders to meet and share experiences.

ANZA offers a 'safety' net for expatriates coming to live in Indonesia by providing:

  • practical information and advice for people living in Jakarta and elsewhere
  • a support network to help families and individuals settle into the local community
  • social activities and clubroom facilities
  • a base for community network
  • a networking forum for business opportunities
  • an informative monthly magazine for members, BERITA

Regular events organised by ANZA include: Charity Grand Ball, Melbourne Cup Luncheon, Mid-Year Bazaar, Christmas Bazaar. Proceeds from these events support ANZA social welfare projects which are primarily in the areas of health, education and nutrition.

Other events include monthly coffee mornings at a local hotel, monthly BBQ at ANZA House, 'Anzies' coffee and conversation every Friday, Newcomers Chitchat every Thursday. Times and dates of regularly scheduled activities are published in the monthly magazine, Berita; through the members’ weekly email newsletter or by telephone from ANZA House at 021-7179-3042.
