Salary range from Rp 250,000 to Rp 2 million - 44 respondents
Straight average - Rp 860,000

12 had never worked for expats - 41 had experience with expats
22 didn't speak a foreign language - and 29 did.

Cooks

Salary Range from Rp 200,000 to 1,400,000/month - 36 respondents
Straight average - Rp 593,000

Helper

Salary range from Rp 150,000 to Rp 1,000,000 - 49 respondents

Source of Staff

3 were hired through an agency, 14 through the expat's company, 1 through former employer and 51 were hired through word of mouth.

Fed by family

27 were not fed by the employing family and 32 were.

Days Off in a week

6 respondents said they gave no days off during the regular workweek, 50 gave their staff one day off a week and 3 gave 1 1/2 days off a week and 9 gave 2 days off a week

Annual Leave

5 respondents gave less than a week annual leave; 2 gave 7 days off a year; 17 gave 10 days annual leave; 10 gave 12 days off; 13 gave 14-15 days annual leave; and 11 gave 20-22 days annual leave; and 9 gave 28-40 days annual leave

THR

Of the respondents, 5 stated that they did not give their household staff a 13th month bonus for the holidays and 65 said they did give a THR bonus.

Medical coverage for staff

Of the respondents, 20 said they did not pay for their household staff members' medical expenses and 46 said they did.

Medical coverage for the family dependents of staff

Of the respondents, 52 said they did not cover medical expenses for the dependents of their staff members. 17 said they did

Overtime for Drivers

Straight average Rp 7,250/hour
