Dijon Café

Opened in 2001 as an adjunct to DIJON, DIJON  CAFÉ is a favorite spot for both those who are in a rush and need a quick meal and those who just want to linger and chat or use wi-fi and work. Different from other cafes in Bali, DIJON CAFE specializes in custom made sandwiches and salads, with guests deciding on exactly what bread they want and what they want to put in it.  Grilled custom made sandwiches are also popular with several classic customer favorites like ham, cheese and tomato and vegetarian pesto.

Thanks to customer input, we have added a whole selection of  ‘all time favorite”  items so the menu is now much more complete than when we started with no hot food at all.  Newer additionsinclude Cashew-crusted Baramundi, hamburgers, mie goreng , quesadillas and, believe it or not SOUP. A Mezze plate is great value and very popular. Specials are added  and changed weekly so no one needs to get bored; specials that are super popular, like Chicken Piri Piri become  standard menu items.

On the salad menu, DIJON CAFE serves a special spicy chef, a beef, rocket and feta as well as a super popular tandori chicken salad. Again, any salad is possible when customers can choose exactly what they want.  Homemade potato salad, coleslaw and macaroni salads are also standard favorites. DIJON CAFE offers  a selection of mostly home baked dessert items to enjoy with all kinds of coffees and teas.  We use a special blend of coffee from a local coffee company, Bhineka Jaya, making great quality coffees from  the 1930’s.

There is a full range of cold drinks as well with lots of fresh and healthy choices. Favorites right now include the Lemon Lime Slush and the Carrot Apple Beet juice. All time favorite Fizzy Ginger is still going strong butnewer Lemon-Lime Slush is gaining fans fast. Newly renovated premises please old guests and invite new ones as well. Open for dinner now, the café has a special evening menu with several dinner style meals that change frequently. Outside for smokers and inside for those who like clean air, we try to please everyone.

At the end of every month, DIJON Café opens for a bookswap exchange on a Saturday from 1-4. Bring one book and take one.  Book Vultures, who stay the whole time with lunch and many trips to the books are a mainstay. No sales and no charges for the DIJON Bookswap.

Additionally, DIJON Catering organizes parties and weddings in many sizes and types. For additional information, contact Dolfy at dolfy@dijon-bali.com Open daily, 9 am – 10 m.  Kuta Poleng Mall, B 1-2, Tel : 759-640. For more information
